Moscow’s Healthcare System Equipped with Cutting-Edge Tracking Equipment

Moscow’s healthcare system has taken a significant leap forward with the introduction of an innovative online tracking tool for diagnostic equipment utilization. Developed by the Center for Diagnostics and Telemedicine, this advanced service is now accessible to all outpatient departments in the city, marking a new era in healthcare management and efficiency.
Yuri Vasilev, Senior Consultant in Radiology and CEO of the Center, highlighted the transformative impact of this digital initiative. “Our information dashboard enables real-time analysis and monitoring of diagnostic equipment usage across 155 medical organizations connected to the EMIAS Unified Radiology Information Service,” he explained. This breakthrough allows specialists to access up-to-date data on device utilization, both within their facilities and across other medical centers, facilitating improved planning and patient care.
The service offers customizable filters for comprehensive data analysis across various parameters, including equipment utilization rates, study types, and organizational details. Users can view data in tabular format for specified periods, with regular updates ensuring accuracy. A feedback system has been integrated to optimize service performance.
This development comes at a crucial time, as Moscow’s radiologists interpret over 100,000 imaging studies weekly, with an 11% increase in studies conducted during the first half of 2024 compared to the previous year. To manage this growing demand, the Center has already implemented approximately 75 analytical dashboards, with more in development.
The Center for Diagnostics and Telemedicine continues to play a pivotal role in advancing healthcare practices. Beyond managing radiology departments and enhancing diagnostic study quality, it serves as a catalyst for implementing innovative technologies and best practices across Russian healthcare facilities.
This digital revolution in Moscow’s healthcare system exemplifies the city’s commitment to leveraging technology for improved patient care and operational efficiency, setting a new standard for healthcare management in the digital age.
